Around the Area

The countryside around North Devon has some spectacular scenery, with Exmoor to the North and the North Cornwall Coast to the south.

 

The sandy beach at Westward Ho! Is a 5 minute drive away and extends for over two miles, along with the pebble ridge.  Behind which is the Northam Burrows Country Park, lying at the western edge of the Taw Torridge Estuary, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The character fishing port of Appledore lies between Bideford and Westward Ho! Clovelly with its cobbled streets and donkeys is well worth a visit along with Hartland Abbey and Hartland Quay with its rugged coastline.

 

The Royal North Devon Golf Course is the oldest course in England and offers visitors a warm friendly welcome.

If you like walking, the South West Coast Path has some magnificent scenery and coastline. The Tarka Trail is a must if you love cycling and bicycle hire is available from different sections.

 

The area has many tourist attractions for all ages i.e. - Dartington Crystal visitor centre, Rosemoor and Tapely Gardens, Cobbaton Combat Collection, Milky Way Adventure Park and The Big Sheep.
